Husband found this newly hatched sandhill crane near our backdoor when he and the dog returned from an evening walk. No adult sandhills around that we could see or hear. This little guy ran around the yard peeping until we finally lost sight of it. Now we are seeing seagulls circling the yard but still no adult sandhill to be seen. Hopefully this little thing is reunited with it's parents before it becomes a meal for another bird.
